JOSEPH LOUIS HOFFMAN

At age 94, Joseph passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 15, 2023. Beloved husband for 68 years to the late Alice Helen (Niebauer) Hoffman. He was the son of the late Joseph and Marie (Lacher) Hoffman, and the brother of the late Rosemarie McCarthy, Mildred Walther, and Dorothy Kleppner. Devoted father of Joseph L. (Frances) Hoffman, Donna Barraclough, Patty (Wayne) Williamson, and the late Susan (Kevin surviving) Tomasic; dear grandfather of James, Sean, Christopher, Patrick, and Cory Barraclough; Paul and Matthew Tomasic; also survived by Six great-grandchildren. Joseph was a lifelong resident of the North Side. He was an active member of St. Mary’s Lyceum, involved heavily in numerous functions and Christmas parties. Joe was also a lifetime member of The Teamsters Local #636 Warehouse Union and an active member of St. Peter Parish on the North Side. Family and friends will be received 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 and 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2023 at the  HUGHES FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1501 Lowrie Strreet, Pittsburgh, PA 15212-Troy Hill.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 20, 2023, in Christ Our Savior Parish-St. Boniface Church 2208 East Ohio Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
